Casa Mariol, Garnatxa Blanca 2021

Casa Mariol is a third generation family winery, founded in 1945. It is situated in Batea, Terra Alta, a small region tucked away in the south of Catalonia. The dry Mediterranean climate, calcareous soils and combination of two prevailing winds, the dry north (El Cierzo) and damp southeast (El Garbí), provide optimal conditions for growing grapes and producing amazing wine. Garnatxa Blanca (Grenache Blanc) 2021 was harvested slightly earlier than usual to get real freshness into the wine, and the Casa Mariol team definitely succeeded in that. Super bright, clean and vibrant, it's packed with notes of orange blossom, wildflowers, green apple and fresh lemon. An equally intense palate gives way to a bright acidity and good finish; this is an awesome wine to pair with all kinds of seafood.
